A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort in case you have a cloud website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet stunningly simple to work with, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll notice a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have a different mailbox with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox without difficulty even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
