Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems can you pick from?
Each and every PC or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program which interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripherals such as a mouse or a printer, and any apps that are installed on the system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a web server, any application runs within the parameters specified by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, and so on. This is valid for both standard site scripts and server-side software such as a media server. If a virtual server is set up on a physical one, there can be two separate Operating Systems, referred to as guest OS and host OS, so you can set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide as many as 3 different Linux releases for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs available and we offer all three rather than only one because we realize that you might want to set up some software that has specific requirements with regards to the Operating System it shall run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there are various software applications you could install on the hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you wish to use one and that is why we offer multiple Control Panels as well. In the event you decide that you need a different OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the current one and install the one that you'd like. We also offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
In case you decide to get one of our
dedicated servers, you shall find three Operating Systems on the order page because we want to give you a larger choice for the system environment on your machine as different applications could have particular requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian feature different modules developed by their huge support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and take advantage of a stable and safe web hosting service. Based on your choice, you will also have different Control Panels to choose from. Of course, we can always replace the Operating System if the one you've selected initially doesn't meet the requirements of the software that you intend to run. We can also upgrade your OS regularly to keep it as risk-free as possible with our Managed Services upgrade package.
